Naoshige Uchida was a postdoc in the Mainen Lab from 2000-2006, where he worked on olfactory decision-making. His research focuses on understanding dopamine signaling, reinforcement learning, and decision-making processes, with particular emphasis on how prediction errors and value computations are implemented in neural circuits. He is now a Professor at Harvard University, where he continues to investigate the neural mechanisms underlying learning and behavior.
